I am so blessed beyond measure!

I haven’t written in a couple of days because I have been inundated with many new things – with starting my new job. I have crammed much information in this brain and still more to come. I will be leaving this evening to go to Washington state for my first trip with the company. I am a traveling Trainer and will be “shadowing” one of the other Trainers for this first trip and the second one as well. I received my first paycheck stub in email yesterday and I opened it and just sat there staring at it. Tears welled up in my eyes and all I could do was sit there and stare at the thing. This will not fund until Friday, but I was so taken aback by the amount of this check. No, it wasn’t a million dollars but it was more money for two weeks than I had made in a month in my last job. I was astounded and instantly felt so blessed by my Father in Heaven for giving me this job.THANKFUL GRATEFUL BLESSED  Please do not misunderstand me here… I am not blessed necessarily by money.  No!  By No Means… (if i can borrow a phrase that dear Paul used many times in his letters to the early Christians….lol)  No, I am not blessed just because it is money.  You see, I was laid off from a very good job 5 years ago and this job is almost like what I used to do. The job, the company, the people and yes the paycheck is a HUGE blessing.  God has provided for me and my parents along the way though!  He has been faithful to His promise to never leave us or forsake us.  This paycheck just blew me away.  He is good and His mercy endure forever!

Deuteronomy 31:6

Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them; for the Lord your God, He is the One who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you.”

Psalm 136:1-3

Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good!
    For His mercy endures forever.
Oh, give thanks to the God of gods!
    For His mercy endures forever.
Oh, give thanks to the Lord of lords!
    For His mercy endures forever

Now let me say that my last job may have been low pay but it had many more blessings than a paycheck. I met some really good friends there. One of them, I consider a very dear friend and one that I believe God had a big part in bringing us together. She is a wonderful friend, daughter, mother, wife and Christian. I love her and pray for her and her sweet family daily. I miss seeing and talking with her a lot. She is one of the bright spots of working at that job for 2 + years. There are several others as well. I made some very good, life -long friends and will be forever grateful and blessed by those friendships.friendship-and-love-quotes-wallpapers

There are so many other things I could say about how blessed I am. My life seems to be an overflow of blessings from Heaven. Every trial has turned into a blessing and I am grateful for this heart that God has given me that I can recognize the blessings from His Hand. My brother also writes weekly. He has a blog named Written4U. His post today was about blessings. I would like to include a link to his post as well. Please click this link to read more about “Count Your Blessings”. He has a lot of good stuff to say about that as well.

Look around your life today and see how God has blessed you. If nothing else, if you are a Christian, God has given you Jesus.

John 3:16-17

God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. 17 For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.

This day brings many blessings… count them one by one!  Tell God how grateful you are for His blessings.  God loves you so much and He calls you His beloved and that is a blessing as well.

Feeling very Thankful, Grateful and Blessed!

I began to write a post picking back up with the Prayer series, when I just felt led to complete the week with a final “Thankfulness” post. This week has been a week full of Thankful Posts. I have so much to be thankful for and this week has only scratched the surface. However, the posts have been some of my main things I thank God every day for. The one thing I think I left out was for my family… immediate and extended. After Thursday (Thanksgiving Day), I have to tell you… I am so very thankful for my sweet family. I think I have the best Sister-In-Laws and nieces ever! They helped me with the meal and clean-up so much! Actually, it was so very good to have everyone pitching in to help… My nieces, their husband, brothers and their wives… everyone! I am so very blessed with my family!  I think everyone was just happy to help because we had our mom! Let me explain!811

Thursday, both brothers and their wives and kids joined mom, dad and me for a wonderful Thanksgiving celebration. We always do have a great time of fun, food and fellowship. That day was the same as always, but it just seemed more special because … mainly … we had our mother with us still. This year – in June 2014 – mom had a stroke, on the heels of a heart attack last September… and she had a pretty rough time of it for a several months. God preserved her life and has restored her health almost back to 100%. She is one tough lady and quite the survivor. I think we were so wrapped up in enjoying yesterday that we forgot to actually say thanks for giving our mom back to us! God knows how grateful we are though.tg

Yep, last June, mom and I were going to get her hair cut when we stopped to get a drink at Quick Trip beforehand. When I came back out to the truck, she couldn’t talk. That was the first thing in a long string of events that led to her being taken to the hospital by the EMT folks. It was a very scary time for me. I simply couldn’t understand why mom was not able to talk. My brain totally was in denial… and shut down. I didn’t even think… STROKE! Oh My… I remember pulling over on a side street and praying… “Lord, I don’t know what’s wrong, but You do. Please tell me what to do…” He simply said, “Take her home to familiar surroundings.”

Proverbs 3:5-6

Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
And lean not on your own understanding;
In all your ways acknowledge Him,
And He shall direct[a] your paths.

I did, called 911 and the wonderful Bedford Fireman came to take her away to the hospital. The next several hours proved to be a challenge for us all. My brother and sister-in-law from Rockwall came over to the hospital. My other brother and his wife came up from Southeast Texas – 5 hour drive – and over the course of the next few days, mom had nieces and nephews visiting along with church folks and other friends.GIVE THANKS

That first day she totally lost her speech and almost lost her life… but God had mercy on her and us and gradually restored all her faculties. However, it wasn’t without a lot work on mom’s part and a lot of help from many nurses and doctors. They were amazing and they were such a wonderful team that helped give my mom back to us. Of course we all know that it was because of the healing powers of prayer and God hearing all those prayers. When mom went to the hospital, I put the word out with my friends on Facebook and in minutes, there were people praying all over the world for my mother. The power of prayer is an incredible thing! You have heard me say, prayer is the most powerful tool that we have here on earth. That is one of the main reasons I am doing the “Prayer” series. It is a very important method of reaching our Father’s heart. God loves to hear His children pray.Blessed1

So, with all the events mentioned above, we are one grateful and thankful family. This Thanksgiving was such a wonderful time of just hanging out and being together. Laughing, talking, sharing, praying, eating, laughing some more, listening and all the other things that go along with family get-togethers at our house.

With all that said, we are THANKFUL, Grateful and Blessed to have our mom to enjoy another Holiday time with us. I will close this post for now and pick up the Prayer series in my next post. Thanks for being so patient!2013-ThanksgivingThe Video – Give Thanks – Christian Music Video with Lyrics

Have you ever felt like there are One Million Reasons to trust our Father!?  One Million Reasons to praise Him?  One Million Reasons to say “Thank You”!  Some time back as mom and dad and I sat down to supper, dad said the prayer of thanks as always.  Afterward we paused and all agreed that we are so bountifully blessed.  The three of us also agreed that we don’t understand why our God is so gracious and giving to some of us that have been so disobedient in the past.  Oh, we are walking the journey with Him now and it is a blessed journey that He offers for sure.   But why didn’t He turn His back on us years ago?  He had every right and power to turn and never look at us again.  He is God and He can decide to do anything He wishes.  He made us and He has the right to do anything He chooses.  However, He chooses to pursue us because He loves us.  The Bible tells us He will never let us go, either! Here is a link to 78 different scriptures that mention God’s faithfulness in never leaving us or forsaking us.

Deuteronomy 31:6 and 8 saysBe strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the Lord your God who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you.” … “It is the Lord who goes before you. He will be with you; he will not leave you or forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed.” It is a wonderful feeling to know God is living inside of you. He is there to guide, encourage, counsel and be a friend. He is our closest friend.Vintage country

No, we may never understand why He doesn’t just let us go and let things just “happen” to us.  But one thing is for sure… He can change our circumstances in the blink of an eye and has done so for many of us.  Yes things still happen to us because we live in a world of sin.  But remember everything that comes into your life and happens to you in your life has passed through the Father’s hand first.  He has the final say.  Some things are to make us stronger and other things are to make us more dependent on Him.  words135

If you are going through a tough time right now, or coming out of that rough time… Praise Him and trust Him to guide you the entire way and He will always be there for you!  Talk to Him today!  He is waiting to hear from you!  Just trust that He has and can change your circumstances in an instant!  He may choose to Not change your circumstances.  He may allow things to happen so it will draw you closer to Him.  Why?  Because He loves us too much to let us go. Reach out to Him today!  He’s there.  Just waiting to take you in His arms of love!  You are His beloved!
