This is Easter and He Is Risen!  He Is Risen Indeed!

What a wonderful time for Christians to remember why we have eternal life with God and Christ.  If you are a believer and follower of Jesus Christ, then today, Easter Sunday, is a most special day.  It is the day that Jesus rose from the grave and defeated death forever! HeIsRisen

What exactly does that mean?  Well, if you believe and follow Jesus then when you die or if Jesus comes back before you die then you will go to Heaven with Him and live with Him in Eternity forever.  Some folks say… “Won’t that be mighty boring to live in Heaven and just live forever?”  Well, my answer is a resounding NO!  Why?  Because we were created, in the first place, to worship Him!  Yes, we were created by God to be His companions and to worship and serve Him. So living in Heaven for eternity will be wonderful.  Now, I don’t believe we will sit around and play harps on a cloud and just have nothing to do.  I am not sure what it will be but I know I will like it.

I was watching TV this afternoon and heard one of those street interviewers asking people if they knew what Easter was.  There were some answers that were doozies.  One of the saddest ones is a lady said that it was when Jesus was born.  WHAT!????!!!  When Jesus was born?  Really?  Oh My Goodness!  I wonder what she thinks Christmas is… when Santa was born?  This world is a sad place.  So many people have NO CLUE aindexbout who Jesus is and then for sure what He has done for them!  If they only knew.  Yes, He Is Risen!  He Is Risen Indeed!

As I was looking for pictures for this post, I ran across this one that is most interesting to me.  I have never seen a picture of what it must have been like when Jesus rose from the dead.  I know the face linen or napkin was supposedly laid separately from the other cloths that Jesus was wrapped in.  It is told that the face napkin was folded nice and neat at the head of the stone where he had been laying.  I have read that, in Jewish tradition, when you leave the table and plan to come back, you were supposed to fold your napkin and lay it at your place on the table when you get up.  The folded napkin signified that you would be back and the servants would not take the plate away.  However, to be honest, here is a website I really like for questions.  GotQuestions.org and it talks about the supposed myth surrounding that tale.  Click here to read what GodQuestions.org has to say about this tale.

Anyway around it… this picture below is quite interesting to me and could have been this way.

The rest of the linen that He was wrapped in supposedly lay on the stone but I don’t think it is told how it was  … so this picture could very well be how Jesus burst forth from the grave!  I mean, after all… He had been to Hell and back – literally – and NOW HE IS RISEN!  Thank God, He Is Risen Indeed!

I think this pictureJESUS IS RISEN is a pretty good depiction of how He felt, for sure.

No one really knows and this is just my opinion, but it could have been.  Thank you God for what you did by giving Your only Son to die for our sins and then raised Him from the dead to live with You in Eternity!  I believe He is awaiting the time when You say, “Son, go get My children.”  Those words will be so wonderful to Him and His appearing in the sky will be so wonderful for us Christians.  Thank you, God!14695875a0fdd27dc2c4fb01eb3c6e47

You know God loves you so much!  He has given His only Son to die for yours and my sins.  Now Jesus is in Heaven awaiting you to accept Him as your Savior so you can live in Eternity with Him.  There is a way to live with God and Jesus in Eternity and this website (click the link) will help you understand what it means to be a Jesus Christ follower.  Remember, God loves you so much!  After all, He calls you His beloved.

Hello everyone.  It has been so long since I have been able to just sit down for a couple of hours… maybe three… and just write what God has laid on my heart. I have had a lot laid on my heart lately but not things to share with the world – at least not yet. Just stuff that has happened to me in my personal life that has been … well, let’s just say not your normal, run of the mill stuff.

The title of this post is BEING FED BY OTHERS because I truly have been. Whether it is through my church and Sunday School – Life Groups is what they call it now… I have trouble not saying Sunday School though. I have called it that for many, many years… anyway, I digress. So, whether it has been through church, or friends or family. It has been a wonderful time of learning… and let me add work has provided some of that feeding as well. 0e1274645_merciful

Work is awesome but consuming and my manager is more awesome and so gracious and forgiving. She is one special lady. Now, don’t get me wrong. You walk on the wrong side and disrupt the good flow of things, she will let you know it. She has it in her to say things that cut to the core. However, that is … that it “cuts to the core” because it’s true and you know it. On the other hand, she is the most gracious and merciful manager I have ever encountered and, well, that is pretty awesome to me. So there are some things at work that have happened that have been less than perfect and then there have been things that have been perfect. I know… sounds contradictory. It is but it’s all good! I am learning and trying to be the biggest sponge you have ever seen. My limits are being stretched every day and I like that.. sometimes… I Love that! Then there are days that I just want to scream! But I keep going because I don’t like to quit. I like to learn and I like doing what I do. You see I am an Applications Instructor. That means that I learn EVERY DAY! Yep, I have to “know it” but I also learn it.. meaning “stuff” … over and over again. From my students, from myself and others. It’s a pretty cool thing. However, that is not what I wanted to write about, necessarily.mercy-grace

I wanted to say how much I have experienced grace, mercy and kindness. Today it was from a wonderful bunch of students in my class that kinda had some technical issues. Now usually when there are tech issues, the scores that the students give are usually low. Today, not so. They totally surprised me! I think this is the first time that I have experienced, since being at my current job, that the scores were up there even with MAJOR tech issues. I think it was a combination of things… but I don’t want to analyze it too deep right now. That will come later with my manager… which will be a good thing. However, I do want to acknowledge that the students in this class (10 of them) were a very interactive and happy class. They enjoyed learning and were most forgiving of the circumstances that we encountered today! Yep, it was a refreshing outcome… and one that I am so appreciative of. Gracious and merciful students. Nice!

The other thing I want to recognize is actually from a pastor in San Antonio. I received a message from my website the other day. It was from this pastor in San Antonio and he was asking about one of the pictures I used some time back on a post. He was just asking if he could use the picture for theirencounter “new” church’s logo. The picture is just one I got off of the internet when I Googled a topic. The post was ENCOUNTERING GOD ALMIGHTY. The picture is quite good and he believes it would be a perfect logo for the new church that he is wanting to start on October 24, 2015. Of course I told him I had just Googled it also, same as him, and he could certainly use it and I attached it to the email.

One of the things I wanted to do with this post is include one of his posts. You see he writes a blog also. He has held this blog for 12 years, he says, and it is quite good. Please give him the graciousness to read his blog post on THE BLESSING OF MERCY.

I mainly wanted to introduce you to him and ask you to read his post on The Blessing of Mercy. It is truly a blessing to encounter Mercy from any source. The best is the Mercy that our Savior gave us. Please read on and comment, if you want, on any encounters with mercy and grace you have had lately or ever. Here is his post:

God morning, beloved.  It is written.  "It is more blessed to give than to receive."  (Acts 20:35)  Jesus lived and died by that truth.  He "gave Himself for our sins to rescue us from the present evil age."  (Galatians 1:4).  "In His great mercy He has given us new birth into a living hope."  (1 Peter 1:3).

Mercy is love expressed.  When Christians practice mercy, they place the needs of others above their own, in much the same way that Jesus placed our need for forgiveness and salvation first, allowing Himself to be insulted, abused, and finally crucified in order to procure that salvation for us.  God so loved that He gave.  Calvary is the proof of God's mercy.

To be merciful is to act out of love and compassion for others, to try to see with their eyes, think with their minds, and feel with their hearts.  God's Son did just that when he took on human flesh and blood to experience life's struggles just as we do, though without sin.  He offered His life in our place as the substitutionary sacrifice for our sins.

As we display mercy in Christ's name, we become more like our Lord.  By His grace we will obtain the ultimate mercy:  entrance into God's heavenly sanctuary, to abide with Him forever. Amen.

Worship with me.  Lord Have Mercy.

I have been in the process today of trying to get a couple of songs together to sing at my brother’s church this weekend. I knew what I wanted to sing but my accompaniment tracks were in cassette format. How many of you still have a lot of cassettes out there? Well, I for one have several. Some really good music, too and I can actually play them in my truck. I drive a 2001 Toyota 4-Runner and it has a CD/Cassette player with an MP3 hookup… perfect for me. I can listen to my Bible on my phone, my old cassettes and some new CDs. Perfect huh? Well, that is all well and good but I cannot take my truck into the church and play the accompaniment track nor does the church have anything to play a cassette on. So… I thought I would just try to get some new songs. Well, that didn’t really work out too good either. I tried one that I thought I would really like to sing, but the track ended up being in the wrong key and I just couldn’t make my voice do those things that the track was doing… I guess I will leave that song to Russ Taff to sing… He does it so well. This is that particular song… And it is one you don’t want to miss. He is singing with the whole Gaither Group! It is an awesome video.

Video Praise The Lord – Russ TaffPraise-the-Lord-FB.001

So that problem posed, I set out to find out how to create a CD from a cassette. I LOVE THE INTERNET at a time like this! I just “Googled” “How to create a CD from a cassette” and found a perfect video that explained how. I hit a goldmine! It required downloading some software – that was free – and then learning just a little about it to know how to do what I wanted to do. The guys in the video were very helpful and I will even include the link – in case there are some folks out there that have some cassettes that they want to make into CD or at least a digital copy of them. I love it when a plan comes together! Now it took me a few hours to get everything just right… but Voila!! Finally… SUCCESS! I have them downloaded to my computer and to a CD. I have my very own digital copy of the two cassettes now. This makes me very happy!

There is something that even makes me happier! One of the songs name is “He Sees Me Through The Blood”. maxresdefaultThis is a wonderful song that I heard several years ago. There was a wonderful young man that came to the church I was attending at the time – 1995. His name is Scott Cameron. He sang this song and the choir sang it with him. It touched my heart so much that I contacted him and asked him if he had an accompaniment track of the song. He did and he sent me one. I think I paid $5 or $7 for it at the time. I was thrilled. I had the opportunity to sing it one time for the Singles Department.

I have always loved the song because it says so much about what Jesus did for me! The song’s title should give you a clue. The blood that Jesus shed on the cross covers us and makes us whole! Here are a few scriptures about what the blood of Jesus can and will do and has done.

1.  Leviticus 17:11, 14 (cp. Deuteronomy 12:23) “For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul…. For it is the life of all flesh; the blood of it is for the life thereof …”

2.  Hebrews 9:22 “Without the shedding of blood, there is
no remission of sins.”

3. 1 John 1:7″… the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth
us from all sin.”

4.   Revelation 1:5 “… Unto him that loved us, and washed us
from our sins in his own blood.”

5. Exodus 12:13 “… and when I see the blood, I will pass over
you, and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you,
when I smite the land of Egypt.”

6.  Revelation 12:11 “And they overcame him (Satan) by the blood
of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony …”

7. Hebrews 10:19, 22 “Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus … Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience …”

Without Jesus blood being shed we would be destined for Hell because of our sin. Our sin would separate us from God because God cannot tolerate sin … He cannot even look upon sin. Why? He is a Just and Righteous God. Pure in every way.  bloodSo… with this Just and Righteous God not being able to even look upon sin, how could He spend eternity with the people He loved so deeply? He couldn’t without Jesus. Jesus knew when He left Heaven that he would walk on this earth for 33 years and then die on a cruel cross but that He would conquer death and rise on the 3rd day! So His blood covers all of our sin. Our sins died on the cross with Him. He took upon himself, the entire humankind’s sin. That is why God turned away from Him the day He was crucified. He could not look upon sin. The sin of the world – mine and yours – was laid on Jesus.

Now when God looks at us He only sees us through the blood of Jesus. How wonderful is that! Jesus’ death and resurrection allows us to live in Heaven with Him! Forever! God doesn’t have to turn away from us any longer, as long as we have accepted Jesus into our lives! It is tremendously wonderful!Redeemed

Have you accepted Jesus as your personal Savior? He is waiting for you to call out to Him. He wants to spend eternity with you. God wants to be able to look into your eyes and say welcome home one day. Heaven is our home and if you know Jesus you will be there with the rest of us. Call out to Him today and let Him show you His love  (This link will take you to the simple plan of salvation). The everlasting love that washes us white as snow. God loves you so much. He calls you His beloved.

The Song – He Sees Me Through The Blood – Scott Cameron

As I sit down at my desk and put my wrist braces on and lean on the wrist rest and prepare for the day, I am very thankful I have this wrist rest because it helps my wrists and hands so much since I type all day. Also, since I have Carpal Tunnel it is vital for my comfort.  Working in a call center, I type almost the entire 8 hours in the day.  So this soft, gel rest really helps.  It had a silky fabric cover and being made out of some sort of gel it is nice and soft but offers plenty of support at the same time.  It had been my mothers and I tried finding one like it but the ones I found were either too hard or too short or something… they just didn’t feel right.  This particular wrist rest is nice and wide and long – the entire length of the keyboard and I cover nearly every bit of it during the day, one way or the other.  Taking 100-150 calls a day it doesn’t take long to really appreciate the help it offers.

As time went on the wrist rest began showing its age.  The wear and tear that I put it through each day took its toll on it.  The nice smooth fabric was coming undone from the gel inside.  The stains from food or drink being spilled on it didn’t add any loveliness to it either.  Plus the fabric was just wearing out.  20Then one day, I had a great idea!  I had some nice heavier fabric at home and21 I would make a cover for it.  Shouldn’t be that hard to do, right?  Right!  It wasn’t.  So, now this wonderful wrist rest was even more functional and certainly looked 100% better!  The cover will preserve its life, make it more functional and improve its looks at the same time.  I like that!

I think this wrist rest is a lot like us Christians in the world.  We are born all brand new!  As we grow up and live in this world and life happens to us, we become stained, scarred and somewhat worn out in many ways.  All of this “life” takes its toll on us.  We become so tired of life knocking us down and tired of the ugliness in the world.  Wishing sometimes that we could just disappear into the woodwork.  Then one day we meet Jesus.  He speaks softly to our heart and asks us to walk with Him.download  He explains that if we accept Him as our personal Savior He can “cover” all of our stains, scars, tattered and worn out places with a “New Cover”.  His love, mercy, grace and His precious blood that He shed on the cross.  He will do that for us if we accept Him and become His friend and He becomes our Savior.

When we decide to follow Jesus and become a Christian all of our sins are covered over by His precious blood and we are like new!  Isaiah 1:18 says that we become “whiter than snow” when He covers us with His blood from Calvary! theyshallbeaswhiteassnowthoughtheyareredlikecrimson1 Also Psalm 51:7 says … “Cleanse me with hyssop, and I will be clean; wash me, and I will be whiter than snow.”  Now we are much more functional and feel so much better about ourselves and life.  He has preserved our lives to live with Him forever in Heaven.  That is not to say that everything works perfectly now that we have become a Christian because we still have to live in a world full of sin.  We still sin ourselves because none is righteous, no not one as it says in Romans 3:10.  We cannot be perfect because we are living in a fallen world and we ourselves are not perfect.  However, when we become Christians, we are covered.  Covered from the moment we accept Jesus until we see Him face-to-face!  And then, we will know Him!  Oh what a glorious day that will be!

I found a great website (blog – Grace Through Faith) that explains a lot of this.  If you want to read a little more, click here.  There are so many resources to help us along our path to Heaven!  If you ever have any questions, please feel free to contact me.  I will be happy to find answers for you. images

So covering our sins with Jesus blood from Calvary … I have had my sins covered up with a new, imperishable cover!  One that will never wear out!  How about you?  Have you accepted Jesus today?  He is waiting for you!  He loves you so much!  After all you are His beloved!  Come meet this Jesus today.  His covering never fails or wears out!  See this scripture John 3:16-21.

The Song – God So Loved The World – Charles Billingsley

Today was a good day of time spent in the Lord’s house and lunch with mom and dad and then quite time after lunch.  Later I took my 2 fur babies (dachshunds) to a park close to my house and DSCN0673we walked around the lake and saw 2 sets of baby geese and a lot of Mallard ducks.  It was so exciting to see God’s feaDSCN0657thered friends and the babies that were just little fuzzy balls of wonderment.  I was surprised when the dogs didn’t bark one time at the ducks and geese.    They are very DSCN0671well behaved babies.

When we returned home and later in the day I had the opportunity to mow the front yard.  God has provided some good rain lately and it was really growing.  I love my front yard.  It seems to always be a work in progress – which is not necessarily a bad thing.  I just don’t seem to have enough hours in the day to do the things I would like to do though.  I think that is normal for a lot of folks though.

As I am sitting here in my quiet room with my fur babies snoring and my fan going, I think about how grateful I am for a God that cares about the little thTHANKFUL GRATEFUL BLESSEDings in my life.  He provides so many things each day and I probably take a lot of it for granted but my prayers is that I will NEVER take anything that God provides for granted.  I pray that I am always grateful for everything… my home, my yard, my vehicle, my family, my friends, my job, my church and yes, my 2 dachshunds!  Most of all though I am grateful for Jesus!  Grateful for his sinless life on this earth and the sacrifice He made so I cslide-02ould live with Him in eternity!   God made that provision for me and you!  He loves us so much and shows us each day!

If you are feeling particularly grateful for something, scroll to the bottom of this post and create a comment on this post and let me know what it is.  I always love to hear from you!  You bless me with your comments!

So … as Mother’s Day comes to a close and it is the “End of a good day”, I want to say thanks for reading my blog and all the ways God reveals Himself to me throughout my day.  I love sharing and pray that I will always be able to share with you!
